JH Basketball 🏀 at home today(Friday, January 9th) against McClave has been cancelled due to winter weather and poor road conditions. A decision on HS games will be made later in the day. 💜💛
The district encourages everyone in the community, even if you do not have a student currently in the district, to attend the facility Master Plan Community Meeting next Monday. This meeting is a chance to learn about the current conditions of our school facilities, understand renovation needs and costs, but ultimately the communities prioities for the future.
Wold Architects and Engineering will lead the discussion and gather community feedback, ideas, and priorities as part of the planning process.
The meeting will be held on Monday, January 12, at 6:00 pm in the Eads High School Multi-Purpose Room. These are important conversations, and ultimately learn the community's priorities for the future.

We were recently made aware of a possible abduction attempt that occurred in our community yesterday evening. At this time, we are reaching out to the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office to gather more information and details.
In the meantime, we will be speaking with our students about personal safety and awareness. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority, and we will share any important updates as we receive them.

🚨 Public Safety Notice Attempted Abduction in Eads, Colorado
Last night, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving an attempted abduction of a juvenile after school in Eads. The juvenile was able to get away safely and immediately reported the situation.
Deputies quickly searched the area and attempted to locate the suspect vehicle, which was last seen traveling north on Highway 287.
Suspect Vehicle:
• White sedan
• Texas license plates
• Grey interior
Suspect Description:
• Older male
• Possibly Hispanic
• Possible balding on top
• Distinct cowlick
The investigation is ongoing. We encourage the public to remain aware and report any information that may help identify or locate the suspect.
