2017-2018
Kiowa County School District RE-1 will begin school on Wednesday, August 9th. PreK begins on Monday, August 14 at 8 am (3-yr-olds) and 12:30 (4-yr-olds).

The following items will need to please be sent with your student on the first day of school:

PRESCHOOL:
*First day of school for both 3 & 4 year old classes is Monday, August 14th.  Mrs. Williams will be providing you with more information concerning registration appointment times for the week prior.

1 LARGE box of facial tissues - 200 count
1 LARGE container of Clorox Wipes
1 Box of 5 oz. Dixie All Purpose Cups


KINDERGARTEN
8 oz size Elmer's white school glue
8 LARGE glue sticks (white or clear glue sticks preferred)
Regular size crayons - 12 or 24 count
Box of 8 markers
2 LARGE boxes of facial tissues -- 200 count
6 - #2 pencils w/ erasers
Good pair of METAL bladed scissors (Friskars is an excellent brand)
PLASTIC cigar type school box

All students attending Eads Elementary should have a pair of tennis, running, or rubber-soled flat shoes for their Physical Education class.  These shoes will be left in the Elementary Gym locker rooms so each student will have them for their class.  Students may wear shorts under a pair of long pants, and then remove the long pants during their PE class.  Girls MUST wear shorts under their dresses.


MIDDLE SCHOOL
2 boxes of facial tissues (please give to homeroom teachers)
1 pkg. 3 x 5 note cards with lines

Notebook for each class (Separate notebook for writing)

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

*MS & HS Parents please call the Eads Medical Clinic at 438-2251 to set up an appointment for your student athlete's physical.  These physicals must be completed, signed, and given to the office or coach prior to being able to practice.  The clinic has a $20 special rate for student physicals.  Students can also get their physicals at other clinics.  Below is the CHSAA Physical Form that the school uses. Feel free to download and take with you to the appointment.

Items to bring to registration:  (August 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM)
* New students need their birth certificates and social security information. If they are in high school a prior transcript will be helpful.   Freshmen and New students will meet Mrs. Vasquez at 5:30 PM who will give you a tour of the facilities and help you with registration.
* High school students pay a $50 laptop fee for access to their own machine during the school year.
* Make sure to fill out the free & reduced lunch paperwork.  It not only helps our families but it helps the school so please do fill it out and return to Pam Cole.
* Money for pre-paid lunches can be paid to Jackie Rittgers at registration.


DUAL CREDIT INFORMATION
* Dual Credit students please see the attached textbook list.  It has been updated so you will need to make sure you have the most current information.
*  Dual Credit students please meet with Mrs. James who will help you with the LCC paperwork.  Parents must sign this paperwork so please get these signatures in order to expediate your college enrollment.
